The Vision of the Gathering
When Jesus said he would build his church and the gates of hell would not prevail against it, he used the word “church” which means “CALLED OUT ONES” or “A GATHERING” in His name. By doing this, he broke down all the barriers to what a church is and where it can begin. The Current Challenge
Church attendance is declining. Those who do attend church are now attending less often. In America, an average of 150 churches
An Awesome Opportunity
The Millenials are the first generation in America to grow up online. This platform will allow us to launch gatherings globally by enlisting followers of Jesus around the world who will host the church, empowering God’s people to reach their neighbors. We will start online and equip those with the gifts to lead and communicate so the teaching can eventually be live in the home. As the church grows in the home we can provide coaching as it multiplies or moves to larger spaces. The tithes and offerings given allow the gathering to be self-supporting as most of the offerings will stay with the local gathering to help them reach out to their neighbors. Less than 30% will come to the central team during startup. Eventually, this drops to only 10% as the gatherings grow and become stronger. By launching gatherings this way, we bypass the enormous costs involved in buildings and focus on reaching and building people.
How The Gathering Works
With 3 billion people online, more and more people are watching church from the comfort of their home. Our desire is to help people who watch church in their home become people with a church in their home. The Gathering is an effort to take the good news to more people through technology. We will not be saddled with the cost of buildings or leases. We will be encouraging people to meet together with what God has provided, in the places where they live. By hosting smaller gatherings in homes, community centers, and offices, we will be able to invest our offerings back into our communities.

Jesus said we are not to forsake the gathering of ourselves together. He promised that He would build His Church (gathering) and that the gates of Hell would not prevail against it.
