Happy Hump Day Reader, I am thrilled to share some fantastic updates and inspirational content this week. Our community is flourishing and expanding, and I am deeply thankful to everyone who plays a part in this journey. This edition includes a health update, heartfelt reflections, and exciting news about our upcoming events and initiatives. Health UpdateReturning to service and worship with my Mars Hill Family was a significant milestone in my recovery. My little buddy Kyi, a true church baby, was there to welcome me. I feel stronger each week and attribute a large part of this to your prayers and support. Thank you for being there for me.
Personal ReflectionI want to share a thought from my journal: Live in a way that makes you come alive! Live in a way that excites you to get up, get dressed, and conquer the day.
Each day presents a new opportunity to embrace life fully, pursue our passions, and find joy in our daily routines. Whether through our work, relationships, or personal growth, living with purpose and enthusiasm brings a sense of fulfillment and excitement. We can ignite a spark that propels us forward by aligning our actions with our values and dreams. What makes you come alive?Special Thanks to Rev. Tim MorrisI thank the Rev. Tim Morris for his powerful sermon this past Sunday. His message, titled “Left By Myself,” coming from Genesis 32:24, deeply resonated with us as he recounted the story of Jacob. In his moment of isolation, Rev. Morris skillfully highlighted how Jacob wrestled with God and emerged transformed. This profound sermon reminded us that God is with us even in our loneliest times. Still, he also sparked a transformative journey within our community, shaping us for His purpose. Watch the replay of Rev. Tim Morris’s message below.
Special Thanks to Our LeadersI want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Tim Morris and Min. Marcie Stowers-Wilson, thank you for your outstanding leadership in our recent services. They have exceptionally guided our worship and ensured everything runs smoothly. Their dedication and excellence have been genuinely inspiring. I am incredibly thankful to both of them for leading our congregation so well during my absence. Their commitment and leadership have been a tremendous blessing to our community. Don’t Allow Busyness Stop You From GrowingI thank God for the beautiful diversity in our church. From retirees to busy professionals and students, everyone leads busy lives. That’s why I’m excited to invite you to check out my latest podcast episode, “Faith On The Fly.” Click this link to listen.
