If you had a chance to go back and time redo life, would you? Everyone has made poor choices or done something in their past that could possibly be labeled as regrettable. But, think about it. The fact that you are now able to look back and realize that a mistake or mis-step occurred means you have learned a valuable lesson. Some of my choices may have landed me in unpleasant circumstances, but experiencing these things certainly built my current character. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for those character-building situations.
Mistakes are stepping stones to an evolving life.
If I had to live my life over again, I’d try to make more mistakes. Why? Mistakes give us experience which, in turn, makes us wiser.
I am proud to say that I have no regrets in life. I mean, sure, there are some things that I have looked back on and said, "I shouldn't have done that" but I know for sure that I would not be the woman I am today had I not been able to learn from those poor choices and heal from the pain. So nah, I wouldn't change a thing.
However, 3 things that I look back on and say "I shouldn't have done that" are:
1. I shouldn't have taken my education so lightly. I look at all the opportunities my 17 yr old cousin has to travel across the country and participate in various activities because she is number 6 in he class and it "wows" me, because I was the student that often times did just enough to get by.
2. I shouldn't have gone by myself to buy my first car. I still have it. I never really liked it, I doesn't fit my personality, my note and my interest rate are higher than either should be.
3. I would have been a better athlete. I enjoyed my 8 yr stint as a hooper, but I could have gone harder. I wish some one would have put a ball in my hand when I first started walking. lol
