He's sold more than five million albums world wide, garnered multiple
hit singles ("Ordinary People," "Used to Love U," "So High," "Save
Room," "Heaven," "Another Again"), received countless awards (including
five Grammys) and wowed rapt audiences across the globe. Music's
leading producers clamor to work with him.  Fashion aficionados can't
get enough of his incomparable style. And the humanitarian community
has rallied around his fight to end poverty.  Critics have called him a genius, one of the most compelling and
important singer/songwriters of this generation, an elegant ambassador
of soul.

Raphael Saadiq is a standard bearer for what folks call 'old school' music, a
contemporary artist continuing a time-honored tradition that goes back
to the '60s and '70s. From his early days as a member of the
groundbreaking '80s group Tony! Toni! Toné!  After leaving the group, Raphael recorded two singles for hit movies
(1995's "Ask of You" from "Higher Learning" and "Me & You" from
"Boyz in the Hood").  In 2000, he created the supergroup Lucy Pearl
(with En Vogue's Dawn Robinson and A Tribe Called Quest's Ali Shaheed
Muhammad) and the team's much-appreciated sole self-titled album
received Grammy, American Music Awards and Soul Train Music Awards
nominations.  The first leg of the North American tour kicks off November 19 at
Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis, MN, and heads to Chicago on 11/20 – 11/21 and continues through December
13.
