One of our members asked me for a list of my favorite business books. I thought I'd share my list here.
These are in no particular order. I may think of others, but these are the ones that come to mind first.

The VisualCV makes a traditional resume come alive with video,
pictures and a portfolio of your best work samples and other supporting
documents. Informational pop-ups provide background data on the
companies you’ve worked at and the colleges you’ve attended. You can
securely share different versions with your own network of employers,
colleagues and friends, and control who sees what.
The Curriculum vitae (CV) dates back to 1902. The shortened form used in the United States and referred to as a resume was adopted shortly after World War 2. Either way, it’s a document format that
has not changed in decades, even though the Internet has revolutionized
the way in which we use and share resumes.
In a practice that continues in some professions today, job candidates used to bring to a first interview a portfolio
of compelling samples of their work, along with written references,
college transcripts, and documents detailing things like personality
tests, awards and even salary details.
Employers
typically screen candidates through phone and in-person first
interviews. Typically these interviews cover a standard set of
questions, which today can easily be captured in a video or audio file
housed on the Web.
VisualCV brings
both the CV and the resume into the modern Web 2.0 world by
transforming the way in which resume data is presented, accessed and
shared.

What Would YOU Like To Hear Taught Next Year?
Each
year in November our team breaks away for our annual teaching calendar
planning retreat where we lay out a general idea of where we sense God
wants to take us over this next year in terms of teaching and subject
matter.
This week, we will be spending the next several hours focused on praying, planning, and brainstorming. So please pray for us!
But here's my BIG question for all of you….
What topics/subjects would YOU like to hear teaching on?

I guess you all know by now that my baby and I attended the John Legend & Raphael Saadiq concert Friday Night @ Cadillac Palace Theater & it was ALL THAT!!! Since I'm into Neo-soul music & a great fan of both (been a Tony, Toni, Tone fan since "Feels Good"), a good friend hooked me up w/an autograph that I would like to share – Thanks Sheila!!!

When I counsel people, I often ask them, "What's keeping you up at night?" This question gets right to the heart of the issues that are critical to their life and their careers.
HERE'S A SUGGESTION:
In order to be more productive in life, leave a pen and paper by your bed. When the issues of the day start to nag at you, make a note. The payoff is immediate! Writing down your concerns will actually help you let go of them so you can sleep. Then take those pages with you to work. As you prepare for the day, look them over and sketch out how you can alleviate your concerns. The key is to identify the issue and determine how you will address. Create a time frame for carrying out your plan & hold yourself to it. Not only will you work more effectively, you'll sleep better too!
