📰 Discover How We’re Growing Together – Don’t Miss Out! PLUS Exciting News & Highlights

Happy Hump Day Reader,

I am thrilled to share some fantastic updates and inspirational content this week. Our community is flourishing and expanding, and I am deeply thankful to everyone who plays a part in this journey. This edition includes a health update, heartfelt reflections, and exciting news about our upcoming events and initiatives.

Health Update

Returning to service and worship with my Mars Hill Family was a significant milestone in my recovery. My little buddy Kyi, a true church baby, was there to welcome me. I feel stronger each week and attribute a large part of this to your prayers and support. Thank you for being there for me.

Personal Reflection

I want to share a thought from my journal:

Live in a way that makes you come alive! Live in a way that excites you to get up, get dressed, and conquer the day.

Each day presents a new opportunity to embrace life fully, pursue our passions, and find joy in our daily routines. Whether through our work, relationships, or personal growth, living with purpose and enthusiasm brings a sense of fulfillment and excitement.

We can ignite a spark that propels us forward by aligning our actions with our values and dreams.

What makes you come alive?

Special Thanks to Rev. Tim Morris

I thank the Rev. Tim Morris for his powerful sermon this past Sunday. His message, titled “Left By Myself,” coming from Genesis 32:24, deeply resonated with us as he recounted the story of Jacob.

In his moment of isolation, Rev. Morris skillfully highlighted how Jacob wrestled with God and emerged transformed. This profound sermon reminded us that God is with us even in our loneliest times.

Still, he also sparked a transformative journey within our community, shaping us for His purpose.

Join Us This Sunday for Uplifting Worship – In-Person & Online. PLUS Exciting News & Highlights

🌟 Exciting News: Read the Latest from Mars Hill & Highlights from Min. Marcie’s Powerful Sermon, & more!

I am excited to share the latest updates and inspirational content with you. This week, we have encouraging news about my recovery, and reflections from our recent online service led by Min. Marcie Stowers-Wilson. Join us as we continue to grow together in faith and community.

Highlights from “Blessed Believers: Embracing God’s With Faith”

As I continue my recovery, I am profoundly grateful to Min. Marcie Stowers-Wilson, thank you for stepping in and leading our recent online service.

Key Points from the Sermon:

  1. The Faith of Mary and Elizabeth:
    • Mary: Despite her young age and the miraculous nature of the angel Gabriel’s message, Mary accepted her role as the mother of Jesus with humility and faith. Her response, “I am the servant of the Lord. May your word to me be fulfilled” (Luke 1:38), demonstrates her unwavering faith in God’s plan.
    • Elizabeth: Despite her advanced age and years of barrenness, Elizabeth believed the angel’s message that she would bear a son, John the Baptist, who would prepare the way for the Lord. Her joyful declaration, “The Lord has done this for me” (Luke 1:25), reflects her deep trust in God’s promises.
  2. Why They Were Blessed:
    • Their blessings came as a direct result of their faith and obedience. They believed in God’s Word and accepted their role in His divine plan. Mary became the mother of Jesus, the Savior of the world, and Elizabeth gave birth to John the Baptist, the forerunner of Christ.
    • Their faith transformed their lives and left a lasting legacy, demonstrating that trust in God’s promises leads to divine favor and fulfillment.
  3. Application for Christians Today:
    • Believe in God’s promises: Just as Mary and Elizabeth believed in God’s Word, we, too, are called to trust in God’s promises. Whether facing challenges and uncertainties or waiting for prayers to be answered, our faith can bring God’s blessings into our lives.
    • Obedience and Surrender: By allowing Mary and Elizabeth to surrender to God’s will, we can experience His peace and joy, knowing He is in control and has a perfect plan for us.
    • Blessings of Belief: When we believe, we open our hearts to the blessings God has prepared for us. This may manifest in spiritual growth, peace in trials, or witnessing God’s work in our lives and those around us.

Encouragement and Reflection:

As you reflect on the sermon, consider how to deepen your faith and trust in God’s promises. Think about the areas where you can surrender more fully to His will and believe in His perfect plan.

Let the stories of Mary and Elizabeth inspire you and remind you that blessings come to those who believe. Their faith was not just for them but for all believers, including you.

So, how will you respond to their faith? How will you deepen your faith and trust in God’s promises?

Thank you for being a part of Mars Hill Anywhere and your continued commitment to growing in Christ. May we all strive to live with the same faith and trust in God’s promises that Mary and Elizabeth exemplified.
